ENAR's General Assembly is the principal decision-making body of the organisation that meets once a year. Amongst its responsibilities are:
As per ENAR's Statutes 8.3: "The Board may initiate additional GAs and also convene extraordinary GAs when this is deemed necessary. The ENAR secretariat shall convene an extraordinary GA within a period of three months following a written request which must indicate the agenda and be signed by 30 Full Members."
We are glad to confirm that 36 member organisations have indicated their approval of the agenda by the deadline on 23 July 2024, and we are able to convene the Extraordinary General Assembly on 24 October 2024, online.
The main purpose of this Extraordinary General Assembly is to approve the Strategic Workplan Prioritieswhich will define ENAR's direction from 2026 onward.

Board Elections
The Board electionsthat were postponed from this year's General Assembly in June will take place during the online Extraordinary General Assembly.
Candidates are nominated by ENAR Member Organisations. The candidates should take part in the candidates' debatetaking place online on 3 October 2024 as it will be an opportunity for them to present their vision for the work of ENAR and their contribution to the ENAR Board.
At the Extraordinary General Assembly, the membership will be asked to elect a treasurer and three ordinary Board Member positions. Each member organisation is allowed one vote for each open position.

Review of Statutes and Operating Manual
Alongside the ongoing Strategic Workplan Priorities consultation, we are also undertaking a review of our Statutes and Operating Manual in order to improve on our processes and ways of working.
This work is envisioned to take place in the next months, with the aim of having the amended Statutes approved at next year's General Assembly 2025.
The entire network will be consulted throughout this process. However, for practicality reasons, we are setting up a Statutes Task Force that will be leading the work on this.
The role of the task force are as follows:
We are looking for 4 member organisations to join the task force.
We welcome interested members to send in their application to network@enar-eu.org by 10:00 CET on 19 August 2024.Please include a motivation letter (maximum 2 pages) highlighting your expertise and experience according to the selection criteria described in the open call, as well confirmation that you have received the nomination and approval of your organisation to take on this role.
