As previously announced at the ENAR General Assembly and mentioned on multiple occasions in the emails to the membership, we are embarking on an important journey to update ENAR's Statutes and Operating Manual. The past year has shown us that our current Statutes no longer align with the realities we face, and it's clear that change is essential. This important change requires collective effort and we want to ensure that all members have ample time to contribute their insights and take ownership of the process since it is you, all the members of the General Assembly, who are the main decision-making body of the organisation.

 

In 2024, we formed a Statutes Task Force that includes not just Staff and Board members, but also six representatives from our member organisations. This team, guided by the Network Development Team, will lead the drafting process. However, it is vital to remember that this is a collaborative effort. We'll be reaching out to all of you for input during multiple consultation phases from January to October 2025.This will include a workshop at the General Assembly and various online discussions. Ultimately, we will present the revised Statutes for adoption and voting at ENAR's Extraordinary General Assembly on 30 October 2025, with a Belgian Notary present to ensure everything is in order.

The aim of the meeting is to to actively update the membership on the process so far and give an overview of the results of the first consultation round with the membership regarding the proposed changes to the documents.



This event is part of the statutory events of ENAR. This means that there is no requirement for sharing of motivations to attend that would have otherwise been used as basis for selection at our other events.
