Saskia Bricmont is a Greens/EFA Member of the European Parliament since May 2019.

She is an active member of the Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Commission (known as “LIBE”) where she works mainly on police and justice cooperation as well as migration issues. She is also a member of the International Trade Commission (INTA) and used to be a member of the inquiry committee on Pegasus. She is vice-coordinator for the Greens/EFA group in the LIBE committee.

In 2007, she started her first job as political advisor on European, international and development cooperation issues in the Federal Parliament for Green deputies. After an experience in the Cabinet of Minister Huytebroeck (Brussels Minister in charge of the environment and the fight against poverty), she became responsible for the Study Service of the Belgian green party in 2009. She also worked for the territorial development of Picardy Wallonia. In 2012, she got elected local councillor in Ath.  She finally became a MEP in 2019.

She is running again for the June 2024 EU elections as head of list for Belgian French speaking Greens (Ecolo).

As an Expert at the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, she collaborated with women's rights organizations such as Women's Link World Wide and Veus Gitanes. Patricia's advocacy for Rromnja/Kalis rights is evident in her contributions to platforms such as Más de la Mitad, Eldiario.es, El Salto, and Píkara Magazine. She was the first finalist for the "Avanzadoras" award by Oxfam and 20Minutos and co-authored the groundbreaking book "Antigitanism: 13 Perspectives," shedding light on Antigypsyism in Spain.

Born in the Neirab refugee camp in Syria, she moved to France at the age of 10 and earned a Master's degree in International Law and International Organizations from the University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne. After completing two years of doctoral research on the law applicable in refugee camps, she founded the OCR in September 2019.

Rima Hassan has served as a Reporter at the National Court of Asylum Law and as Co-director of the International and Comparative Law Seminar in the Mediterranean and Middle East at iReMMO. She is also a member of the Expert Committee of the Observatory for Integration and Access to Rights of Migrant Persons of ISM Interpreting. She is currently a candidate in the European elections on the Popular Union list led by Manon Aubry.

An activist with Ecolo since 2009, first in Brussels (where she studied), in the local of Frasnes-lez-Anvaing from 2012, then more broadly as co-president of Ecolo Picardie from 2015 to 2017, this mother remains very attentive to issues of education, gender and inequality.

In 2023, she replaced Sarah Schlitz as Secretary of State for Gender Equality, Equal Opportunities and Diversity.

She is a member of the coalition behind the Citizens' Climate Assembly and has co-written " Together, we call for justice - to end environmental violence" (Ed Massot-05 2020) and "WIN, so that politics (really) changes our lives" (Ed Au Diable Vauvert - 01/2024). She is running for European Elections on Green List as "civil society" candidate.

Tina Magazzini is a political scientist and co-director of INTEGRIM Lab, a non-profit organisation that provides evidence-based research on migration, integration and social justice.

Her research expertise is in inclusion/ exclusion policies from a comparative perspective, anti-discrimination, and how categories of belonging are created, maintained, and institutionalized in different settings. Her work has been published in International Migration; the Journal of Intercultural Studies; Policy & Politics; Ethnic and Racial Studies; Religion, State and Society, as well as edited volumes with Routledge and Springer.

Dr. Magazzini holds a PhD in Human Rights (University of Deusto, Bilbao), an MA in International Relations (CCNY) and a BA in Political Science (University of Florence).

Outside academia she has worked with UNESCO, UNDP, the European Commission and the Council of Europe on social inclusion and cultural diversity.

She is currently based in Lisbon, carrying out a research project that aims to provide a greater understanding of the relational nature of identity formation, social classifications and citizenship recognition of Romani, Jewish, and migrant minorities from former Portuguese colonies.

Michaela Moua is the first European Commission Anti-Racism Coordinator. She held a number of senior roles in NGOs in her native Finland combatting racism and discrimination. Before joining the European Commission, she worked at the Non-discrimination Ombudsman’s office and at the Ministry of Justice in Finland working on developing equality data collection and developing the Finish National Action Plan Against Racism. She has extensive experience and expertise in combatting racism and racial discrimination and in promoting an equal and diverse society on the local and member state level. In addition, she is a solution-focused brief therapist with expertise in the effects of racism and discrimination on mental health.

Previously, she researched and mapped projects of resistance and reappropriation of technology, with a special focus on AI. Mila Paspalanova is a doctor in social and political sciences from the Catholic University of Leuven. She has served for over 16 years with the UN, first with UNHCR in Mexico and then with OHCHR Mexico where she was in charge of implementing OHCHR indicators framework in Mexico and numerous Latin American Countries; in the design of human rights policies and monitoring human rights.

She is an expert on public policy, human rights indicators and measuring the level of implementation of human rights. Under her coordination OHCHR indicators framework, and particularly the right to justice (administration and prosecution); life liberty and security; health; education; violence against women; water and sanitation; freedom of expression and opinion (among others) was implemented by over 120 institutions at the federal and local level in multiple Latin American Countries.

Supported the draft and implementation of numerous human rights action plans; human rights monitoring and statistical systems for the judiciary and executive branches, as well as contextualized SDG indicators at the national level.

During all her professional work she has been in charge of mainstreaming equality and non-discrimination in both social and justice and security policy; supporting states in implementing their international human rights obligations and establishing statistical monitoring systems as well as strengthening administrative registries for measuring human rights and non-discrimination. She has over 20 publication on abovementioned topics.

Monique Steijns is a legal expert and represents the Dutch Section of the International Commitee of Human Rights Lawyers (NJCM). She also works at the scientific counsel for government policy as a research fellow.
Monique was involved in drawing up Opgave AI, a recommendation and report on the opportunities and consequences of artificial intelligence for society. In the same context, she wrote AI van repliek gediend, a working paper on the involvement of civil society organisations in the development and application of AI. Monique is deeply committed to human rights and the combination of this commitment with innovative technology is the driving force behind her work.
Monique studied law at the University of Amsterdam and specialised in Information Law at the Institute for Information Law (IVIR). After graduating, she went on to become a corporate lawyer in the field of intellectual property law, working mainly for commercial clients. Later she joined the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), where she primarily concerned herself with Technology Transfers.
In 2014, Monique moved to the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. As a senior legal advisor, she provided the Constitutional Affairs and Legislation Directorate (CZW) with expert advice on topics such as privacy, freedom of expression and other human rights issues. Between 2014 and 2018, she served as an expert member of the drafting group of the Council of Europe’s Steering Committee for Human Rights.
